Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates and Woodyard, P.L.L.C. Member Jane Duke spoke to the health care lawyers practice group on the False Claims Act. at the Missouri Hospital Association’s Annual Conference in Osage Beach, Mo., on Nov. 2.
Duke serves on Mitchell Williams’ litigation team in the Little Rock office. She represents insurance companies, corporations and individuals in cases involving negligence, professional liability and breach of duty. She also handles white collar criminal defense cases, represents corporations regarding internal investigations and fraud perpetrated by employees and can direct internal investigations of corporations regarding breach of policy, as well as government and regulatory compliance matters. Duke is a former United States Attorney and seasoned trial lawyer.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a membership organization that represent all acute care hospitals in Missouri as well as most federal and state hospitals and rehabilitation and psychiatric care facilities. In addition to representation and advocacy, MHA offers continuing education opportunities and aims to inform the public and legislation on health care issues.
