LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 20, 2016) – Jane Duke, partner at Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., has been named the 2016 Breath of Life Honoree by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The award will be given to Duke at the Breath of Life Gala on Saturday, Oct. 22.
With the support of Mitchell Williams, Duke recently worked on a pro bono basis to successfully assist a child in Arkansas in gaining access to ground-breaking CF medications. As a result of her pro bono work, Duke has gained an awareness of CF and its devastating toll on both patients and caregivers.
“We are honored to celebrate Jane and the work she has done for our community here in Arkansas,” said Melody Sugg, executive director of the CF Foundation – Arkansas chapter. “She proudly advocates on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the CF Arkansas Community, working to overcome institutional barriers that inhibit CF patients’ access to life-saving drug therapies.”
