Author: Walter G. Wright The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has issued a guidance document entitled "Guidance for Land Application of Municipal Biosolids" dated December 8, 2011. The agency states that the purpose of the guidance is to assist biosolids generators, users and regulatory officials in developing biosolid management plans to comply with state requirements. The guidance relates specifically to the use of biosolids resulting from the treatment of municipal waste water. The guidance describes the information that the agency will consider when reviewing the biosolids management plan for land application of municipal biosolids.
