Kendra K. Pruitt is a former litigation associate, who transitioned to the firm's Regulated Business Practice Group in 2016.  During her litigation practice, Ms. Pruitt represented corporate clients and individuals in commercial disputes and also defended medical malpractice and pharmaceutical claims in state and federal court.  Her current practice involves handling corporate regulatory and compliance matters, including organizing, licensing and qualifying insurance companies, preparing regulatory filings and advising insurance companies before various state insurance departments.  Ms. Pruitt also provides government relations and lobbying services to clients by drafting and advocating for and against legislation and agency rules and regulations.

  • Successfully drafted dispositive motions and arguments for trial and appellate courts in state and federal jurisdictions.
  • Successfully advised and defended business and individual clients through state agency investigations and subsequent hearings.
  • Negotiated settlements and agreements with state agencies to preserve and maintain appropriate licensure on behalf of client.
  • Successfully obtained dismissal by summary judgment for third party corporation in personal injury lawsuit in federal court.
  • Served as trial counsel for bench and jury trials in state court.
  • Handled defense of claims against insurance carriers regarding various types of litigation in state court.
