Ms. Freeman is the former general counsel for the Senate Committee on State Affairs and a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. In her role with the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs, Ms. Freeman was responsible for all policy issues within the scope of the committee and for drafting interim charges on matters affecting insurance.
Experience
As Assistant Attorney General, Ms. Freeman drafted and issued formal opinions and rulings in response to Public Information Act requests. Drawing on her experience with the Senate Committee on State Affairs and the Attorney General’s office, Ms. Freeman now advises clients on insurance issues and regulatory matters, including insurance company formations, admissions, product filings, mergers and acquisitions, and producer and other insurance-related entity licensing.
