LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., Attorney Nate Read presented at the Human Resources Management Association Supervisors Boot Camp in Little Rock on Oct. 26.
In his session, “Dangerous Intersections: ADA, FMLA & Workers Compensation,” Read discussed employers obligation not to discriminate because of a disability and providing reasonable accommodations for the individual’s disability. He explained how each of the three laws overlap, how to determine which law applies within given situations and how to document actions in a legally defensible way when employees must be reassigned, transferred or terminated.
Read is an experienced litigator practicing in labor and employment law. He counsels clients on matters of employment, wage and hour compliance, unfair competition, trade secrets, employment agreements and employment litigation.
