Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. have named attorneys Melissa Bandy and Craig Cockrell as members of the law firm effective Jan. 1.
Bandy, who works in the Little Rock office, advises clients in commercial transactions including lending, real estate, public finance, corporate governance, entity formation and general business matters.
She earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Davidson College. She was selected by Super Lawyers as a 2017 Mid-South Rising Star in business/corporate law.
Cockrell works in the Rogers office and has a specialized practice focused on providing tax and transactional advice to businesses, municipalities, state agencies and individuals. He has extensive experience in representing businesses and individuals in administrative tax proceedings before the IRS and Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.
He earned a Master of Laws in taxation from the University of Florida School of Law, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in English from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He was selected by Super Lawyers as a 2017 Mid-South Rising Star in estate and probate law and was selected to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s list of 40 Under 40 in 2017.
