(Little Rock, Ark) Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. has hired attorneys Drew Cunningham and Adam Franks, expanding the litigation practice in Rogers and Little Rock.
Drew Cunningham joins the firm in Rogers where he advises corporate, institutional, nonprofit and individual clients on complex civil and commercial matters. He has experience managing every aspect of litigation and client service while identifying litigation and compliance risks. He has defended legacy railroads and shipowners against occupational exposure cases brought under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (“FELA”), the Jones Act and various state law theories. Cunningham has briefed or argued several assigned-counsel public defender appeals (both direct and habeas corpus) implicating weighty constitutional issues in the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts. Prior to joining Mitchell Williams, he was in private practice and served as law clerk to Chief Judge of the Connecticut Appellate Court, the Hon. Alexandra D. DiPentima.
Cunningham earned a juris doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law and and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.
Joining the firm in Little Rock, Adam Franks represents businesses, nonprofits and medical professionals on complex cases in state and federal courts. He defends clients in matters ranging from insurance coverage and commercial disputes to product liability and wrongful death claims, organizing creative litigation strategies at every stage. Through every matter, Franks strives to provide clients with pragmatic and effective service to achieve their business goals. Before joining Mitchell Williams, he was in private practice.
Franks earned a juris doctor form the University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a degree in economics.
