(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. is pleased to welcome the 2023 Fall Law Clerks. Law students Diana Aguirre and Emma Harrod are working as clerks in the firm’s Little Rock office. Law students Shawn Meyers, Carter Wade and Maggie Whisenhunt are clerking in the firm’s Rogers office.
Diana Aguirre is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she is a member of the Latin American Law Student Association and an apprentice with the Law Review. She graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and was a QuestBridge Scholar.
Emma Harrod is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She is vice dean of the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity, McClellan Senate and treasurer of the Business and Tax Law Society. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminology and psychology from the University of Arkansas and was the first ranked senior scholar.
Shawn Meyers is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law and serves as a staff editor for the Arkansas Law Review. She holds a Master of Education in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in journalism and English from the University of Arkansas.
Carter Wade is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law and is a member of the Business Law Society and Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting, finance, business administration-marketing and entrepreneurship and was the recipient of the Johnny Heflin Excellence in Leadership and Academics Award.
Maggie Whisenhunt is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law where she serves as a staff editor for the Arkansas Law Review and is a graduate teaching assistant. She is a member of the Women’s Law Student Association. Prior to law school, Maggie earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and psychology from The University of the South.
The Mitchell Williams Law Clerk program is designed to provide law students the experience of working across practices to develop the skills necessary to excel in the practice of law. Our law clerks actively assist lawyers and are assigned substantive, challenging and billable work to expand their skills.
