(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. is pleased to welcome our 2024 Fall Law Clerks. Law students Megan Prettyman Halford, Chacey Schoeppel Wilcox and Izzy Wood are serving as clerks in the firm’s Little Rock office. Law students Ethan Brown, Abigail Lindsey and Jesse Long are clerking in the firm’s Rogers office.
Ethan Brown is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law where he is a staff editor for the Arkansas Law Review. He is the community chair of Outlaw and served as a 1L representative for the Student Bar Association. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and political science, graduating summa cum laude.
Megan Prettyman Halford is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she is an apprentice for the UA Little Rock Law Review. She serves as communications chair for the Bowen chapter of the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers and is a member of Bowen’s student chapter of the American Constitution Society. She was awarded top papers in Contracts I & II, Property I & II, and Research, Writing and Analysis I. Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and in classics from Hendrix College, graduating summa cum laude with distinction in both majors.
Jesse Long is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law. She is a staff editor for the Arkansas Law Review and is a 2L representative to the Business Law Association. She also earned the top grade in her 1L civil procedure class. Jesse earned a Bachelor of Arts in in English, graduating summa cum laude, from Texas A&M University with an English Honors Distinction and College of Arts and Sciences Honors Distinction.
Abigail Lindsey is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law where she serves as a staff editor for the Arkansas Law Review. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Arkansas, where she was an Honors College Fellow and graduated summa cum laude.
Chacey Schoeppel Wilcox is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she is an apprentice for the UA Little Rock Law Review. She holds a Master of Science in Public Administration and Policy, graduating summa cum laude, from American University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural sciences and natural resources with honors in agribusiness from Oklahoma State University. She is a member of the Junior League of Little Rock.
Izzy Wood is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she is an apprentice for the UA Little Rock Law Review. She is a member of the Bowen student chapter of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Delta Theta Phi, and the Business and Tax Law Society. Izzy earned a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications, strategic communications and political science graduating summa cum laude with Carl Goodson Honors from Ouachita Baptist University.
The Mitchell Williams Law Clerk program is designed to provide law students the experience of working across practices to develop the skills necessary to excel in the practice of law. Our law clerks actively assist lawyers and are assigned substantive, challenging and billable work to expand their skills.
