LITTLE ROCK & ROGERS, Ark. – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. announces Cara Butler and Hannah Butler have both joined the law firm as associates in the Little Rock and Rogers offices.
Cara Butler is a litigation associate in Little Rock and has experience in federal labor and employment laws and human resources matters. Prior to joining the firm, she was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit where she reviewed appellate briefs, researched applicable law and drafted memoranda involving different federal issues. She also has experience working with governmental agencies reviewing vendor contracts and researching legal issues related to governmental immunity.
Cara Butler earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law and earned the highest score on the Arkansas Bar Exam in 2019. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Economics with honors from Lyon College. Butler is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and an alumnus of Phi Mu.
Hannah Butler is a litigation associate in Rogers and has experience in insurance defense and employment law matters. She has completed research in COVID-19-related employment issues and drafting and responding to subpoenas in employment law cases. Butler also assists with crafting defense strategies for hearings before administrative agencies. In addition, she assists with drafting various motions to be filed in federal court for insurance defense cases.
Hannah Butler earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Arkansas and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University. Butler volunteers with the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children in Foster Care and the Washington County Teen Court Trial Diversion Program.
