LITTLE ROCK - Mitchell Williams Attorney Benjamin Jackson has been appointed chair of the Professional Liability Defense Federation’s (PLDF) Healthcare Malpractice Claims Committee for 2018-19.
The committee works to enhance defense standard of care and causation responses to allegations made against the medical community. Members share information in support of procedural suit prerequisites, limitations statute applicability, chart advocacy nuances, expert recruitment, witness preparation, learned treatise preparation, trial presentation graphics, arbitration options and tort reform proposals. Jackson will be responsible for contributing to article publication, monitoring PLDF news, responding to member inquiries for assistance and assisting in annual meeting seminar presentation planning.
Jackson is an experienced litigator who counsels clients when they anticipate potential litigation following an incident, after a lawsuit has been filed, through trial and beyond. He has developed a specific legal practice representing commercial clients, financial institutions, hospitals, medical clinics, physicians and business organizations in matters of data security, risk management, cyber liability defense and medical malpractice defense. He also serves as a strategic advisor to his clients helping them prevent and mitigate the risk of future litigation. Jackson earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
