AUSTIN -- Burnie Burner, an attorney at Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates and Woodyard, P.L.L.C., presented at the annual conference of the Texas Captive Insurance Association in Houston today.
Burner was a panelist during a discussion of the roles and responsibilities of captive insurance owners and service providers. He presented on the role of legal counsel in captive insurance. The Texas Captive Insurance Association is a resource for captive insurance companies, regulators and anyone with an interest in the captive insurance industry.
Burner has extensive experience in insurance company formations and compliance matters. He secured the first-ever Texas captive Certificate of Authority and he has been instrumental in the formation of the majority of captive insurance companies based in Texas.
