Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. is deeply saddened to announce that partner Don Henry passed away on July 5, 2021, in Little Rock. He was 75 years of age.
"Don was a long-time partner and friend, and will be greatly missed," said Mitchell Williams Managing Director Jeff Thomas. “He was a distinguished litigator greatly respected by his clients and colleagues.”
Henry earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas. He joined Mitchell Williams in August of 1998, having been in private practice at House, Holmes and Jewell and serving as in-house counsel for First Commercial Bank.
Henry was a litigator and focused his practice on commercial transactions and dispute resolution including creditors’ rights, eminent domain and commercial litigation. During his legal career, Henry was recognized by “The Best Lawyers in America” for financial services regulation law and for litigation - banking and finance. He was a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Little Rock Rotary Club.
Henry was born November 22, 1945 in El Dorado, Ark. He is survived by his wife, Mary Teague Henry of Maumelle, his sister Candace Nobles (Hutton) of El Dorado, his children, Nancy Ruth Zearfoss (Craig Peterson) of Barre, MA, Sarah Henry Akin (Martin) of Nashville, TN, Richard Henry (Laurie) of Lake Winnebego, MO, Marshall Henry (Alisa) of Alexandria, VA, John Martin Kincannon (Lauren) of Little Rock, and Nicholas Henry (significant other Sydney Sadler) of Little Rock, and his sister-in-law Ashley Martin of Hot Springs.
