Attorney Graham Talley was awarded the W.A. Eldredge, Jr. Award for Outstanding Young Trial Lawyer at the annual meeting of the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel. The award was established in 1990 by the law firm of Friday, Eldredge & Clark to recognize an outstanding young trial lawyer who best demonstrates exemplary trial conduct, undivided loyalty to clients, courtesy and candor to opposing counsel, respect for trial judges and professional dignity for the administration of justice which are characteristics demonstrated by the award's namesake W. A. Eldredge, Jr.
Graham litigates and tries complex, multi-party and class action disputes for clients in the healthcare, insurance, retail and banking sectors. In the last fourteen months, Graham has tried four cases to verdict as lead trial counsel, winning each one for the firm’s client. Graham obtained defense verdicts in three of the cases, two of which were tried in plaintiff-friendly venues. In the fourth case, Graham secured a directed verdict on the fifth day of a multi-week trial after successfully arguing that the plaintiff’s two expert witnesses failed to offer sufficiently specific opinions on liability and causation. The plaintiff sought seven- or eight-figure damage awards in all four of the cases.
Graham is a partner at Mitchell Williams, where he serves on the firm's Compensation Committee and Finance Council. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for product liability litigation – defendants, for personal injury litigation – defendants, and for mass tort litigation / class actions – defendants. He’s been recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyers: Rising Stars in civil litigation defense and personal injury medical malpractice defense. He is an active member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel.
