(ROGERS, Ark.) — Mitchell Williams Attorneys Hannah Butler and Jacob McElroy moderated the program “Clerk of the Court: Information and Best Practices” at the August meeting of the Benton County Bar Association. Butler and McElroy moderated an interview with Benton County Circuit Clerk and Recorder Brenda Deshields. DeShields has served as the circuit clerk and recorder of Benton County since January 2003. She provided an overview of the duties and services provided by the circuit clerk and recorder’s offices, as well as best practices.
Butler represents employers in all matters of employment and labor law. She advises clients on a broad range of employment matters ranging from drafting workplace policies to defending against lawsuits. Hannah also assists insurance carriers and their policyholders in high-stakes lawsuits including medical malpractice, nursing home liability and catastrophic personal injury cases.
Jacob McElroy is a litigator with experience defending businesses, insurance carriers and their insureds in various lawsuits and proceedings including medical malpractice, nursing home liability, premises liability and administrative proceedings. Jacob also assists insurance carriers in evaluating their potential risk and exposure and advises them on potential mitigation strategies and options for resolution.
