(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) — Six Mitchell Williams attorneys were recognized at the 126th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Bar Association held June 12-14 in Hot Springs. In addition, two attorneys were elected to the Board of Trustees.
Attorneys Stuart Miller, Devin Bates and Emily McCord received joint awards from the Arkansas Bar Association and the Arkansas Bar Foundation. Stuart received the James H. McKenzie Professionalism Award which was given in recognition of his sustained excellence through integrity, character and leadership to the profession and the community. Devin was awarded the Equal Justice Distinguished Service Award which is given in recognition of his commitment to and participation in equal justice programs, including pro bono efforts through legal services programs. Emily received the Outstanding Lawyer-Humanitarian Award given in recognition of her outstanding humanitarian service.
Receiving Arkansas Bar Association awards were attorneys Caroline Kelley, David Bingham and Grace Fletcher. Caroline was awarded a Golden Gavel Award for her work as Young Lawyers Section Chair and received the Frank Elcan, II Young Lawyers Leadership Award for her commitment and dedication to the Young Lawyers Section. David was awarded a Golden Gavel Award for his work as chair of the 501c3 Task Force. Grace received a YLS Award of Excellence for her work on the Young Lawyers Section Executive Council.
Attorneys Lizzi Esparza and Anton Janik were elected to the Arkansas Bar Association Board of Trustees. Lizzie was elected to the Board of Trustees for District A1 and Anton was re-elected to the Board of Trustees for District B.
