LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Attorneys Stuart Miller, Lyn Pruitt and Derrick Smith were selected to the Arkansas Business 2019 Arkansas 250. This prestigious recognition lists 250 of the state’s most influential leaders and the people who are shaping the way we live, learn and do business in the state.
Miller is a distinguished trial lawyer with extensive experience defending catastrophic injury suits, professional liability claims and suits for wrongful death. His practice focuses on complex high-stakes commercial litigation, defense of class actions and catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death defense. In addition, he has an established practice in areas involving insurance coverage matters and bad faith claims. His clients represent a wide spectrum of business and industries, from Fortune 100 companies to privately owned businesses, for which he has tried numerous cases involving professional liability, product liability, transportation and premises liability claims. He offers effective risk management and preemptive legal analysis for clients to help manage their risk and outcomes, and he places a high premium on the use of technology within his daily and trial practice to efficiently manage client matters. Pruitt has built a reputation as one of the country’s most talented and respected litigators defending pharmaceutical and medical device companies in the most critical product liability cases over the past 20 years. With years of extensive trial experience, she has served as first-chair in over 60 jury trials to verdict. Pruitt also represents Fortune 500 companies in consumer class actions and toxic tort matters. She serves on the firm's Board of Directors.
Smith is a member of the firm’s Insurance Regulatory, Government Relations, and Energy & Utility practices where he represents clients in their interactions with Arkansas governmental entities and state insurance departments throughout the United States. He chairs the firm's Regulated Entities Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Olly Neal, Arkansas Court of Appeals, from 2000-2001.
