Students Recognized for Leadership Roles as Moot Court Board Chair at the University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law; Chair of the Board of Advocates at the University of Arkansas School of Law

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. has awarded its annual H. Maurice Mitchell Leaders in Law scholarships to University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law student Trent Minner and University of Arkansas School of Law student Robert Riley. Each student received a $2,000 scholarship for the 2019-20 school year.
The firm’s H. Maurice Mitchell Leaders in Law Scholarships are awarded annually to the students who are selected as the Moot Court Board Chair at the University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and the Chair of the Board of Advocates at the University of Arkansas School of Law, Fayetteville.
Minner, of Little Rock, Arkansas, is a third-year law student at the University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. He is currently the Moot Court Board Chair where he presides over all moot court activities and meetings and is responsible for organizing training for interschool and intramural competitions. Additionally, he serves as a law clerk for the Chief Deputy Attorney General researching legal issues, attending hearings and writing memoranda to assist with litigation. Minner graduated from John Brown University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and is a native of Conway.
Riley, of Marion, Arkansas, is a third-year law student at the University of Arkansas chool of Law, Fayetteville. He is currently Chair of the Board of Advocates and is responsible for the overall management of the trial competition, moot court competition, and client advocacy competition. He also serves as the secretary of the Property of Law Society and is a member of the Pi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Riley graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History.
