Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., in conjunction with The Payroll Company (TPC), will host two free employment seminars this month in Little Rock and Rogers for human resources professionals. Attorney Nathan Read will present “Top 8 for 2018: Essential HR Tips in the New Year and Beyond.”
The seminar will be held in Little Rock on Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Heifer International, 1 World Ave and in Rogers on Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites, 1803 S. 52nd St. Participants can register for the Little Rock event here or for the Rogers event here. The seminar is approved by HRCI and SHRM for 1.25 professional development credits.
Read is an experienced litigator practicing primarily in the areas of labor and employment law, employment counseling and compliance and wage and hour compliance. In the seminar, he will cover topics including medical marijuana in the workplace, sexual harassment policies and claims, non-compete and NDA documents and procedures, ADA, FMLA and worker’s comp, wage and hour pitfalls, classifying exempt employees, tracking employee work time and forms and documents.
