LITTLE ROCK, ARK. – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., in conjunction with The Payroll Company (TPC), will host a free employment seminar in Little Rock on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Heifer International located at 1 World Ave. Employers and human resources professionals are invited to attend.
Attorneys Nathan Read, Lauren Grinder and Graham Talley discuss the complexities of wage and hour laws including a review of wage and hour litigation trends in 2018, wage and hour compliance and how to spot issues, structuring job descriptions to meet exemption guidelines, non-compete and NDA documents and Arkansas’ new minimum wage law. The seminar will also explore harassment in the workplace including how to develop comprehensive and effective polices, complaint systems, investigations, disciplinary actions and effective training.
Nathan Read has extensive experience representing employers in all matters of employment law with a focus on employment counseling and employment litigation. He advises businesses, executives and management on employment obligations under the state and federal statutes.
Lauren Grinder has experience in litigation and employment law. She conducts legal research and analysis on various state and federal laws including the Family Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act and Title VII.
Graham Talley has experience in a broad range of business disputes including products-liability cases, commercial litigation and employment law. He counsels employers on a variety of employment-related issues, including wage-and-hour laws, regulatory proceedings and discrimination lawsuits.
