(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. welcomes five law clerks for the Spring 2025 term. Law students Tucker Humphries, J. Matt Rogers and Kaley Shipman are clerking in the firm’s Little Rock office. Law students Garland Hurst and Maria Sandoval are clerking in the firm’s Rogers office.
Tucker Humphries is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where he is a member of the William H. Bowen School of Law Federalist Society. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science and was a member of the University of Arkansas Associated Student Governrment.
J. Matt Rogers is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where he is an apprentice with the UA Little Rock Law Review. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in supply chain management and served as philanthropy chair of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Kaley Shipman is a law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law where she serves as treasurer of the Sports Law Society. She is an Arkansas Tech University graduate where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in business management and was a selected as a Great American Conference (GAC) All-Conference Athlete in women's basketball for four years.
Garland Hurst is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law where he has been recognized as Best Oralist Appellant in Spring 2024 legal research and writing. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in economics with a minor in marketing from the University of Arkansas and earned Chancellor's and Dean's List honors.
Maria Sandoval is a law student at the University of Arkansas School of Law where she is a president of the Immigration Law Society and is treasurer of the Hispanic Law Student Association. She is also staff editor for the Journal of Food Law and Policy. Having earned both a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts both in political science from the University of Arkansas, she is a political science adjunct lecturer at the university.
The Mitchell Williams Law Clerk program is designed to provide law students the experience of working across practices to develop the skills necessary to excel in the practice of law. Our law clerks actively assist lawyers and are assigned substantive, challenging and billable work to expand their skills.
