Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. announces Nathan A. Read has joined the firm in Jonesboro as litigation counsel.
Read earned his Juris Doctorate from Temple University, Beasley School of Law. He received a Master of Arts from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Lyon College. He has practiced law in Arkansas and was previously associated Stevens & Lee, P.C. in Pennsylvania.
Read will work in the litigation practice group. He has years of experience in all areas of employment counseling and employment litigation. He has specific experience assisting businesses in developing and implementing employment policies and procedures. He provides counsel on hiring, training, discipline and termination issues, particularly in connection with employment discrimination statues, the American Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act.
He represents individuals and companies in contract disputes and business tort litigation, including intellectual property disputes and unfair competition claims. In the medical malpractice area, he has assisted in the representation of hospitals, clinics, nurses and physicians in professional liability claims.
