The Arkansas Water Resources Center (“AWRC”) announced it is inviting:
. . . pre-proposals for research projects that address critical water needs in Arkansas.
The funding opportunity is stated to be provided as part of the United States Geological Survey (“USGS”) 104(b) grant program.
AWRC states that it is soliciting two different types of pre-proposals:
- Faculty Research Proposals
- Student Research Proposals with a Faculty Adviser
While funding is contingent upon USGS funds being provided, it anticipates funding for:
- Faculty researchers up to $35,000
- Student researchers up to $10,000
The AWRC announcement addresses issues such as:
- Eligibility
- Type of pre-proposals
- Funding and match requirements
- AWRC 104(b) program objectives
- Research area of particular interest
- Project reporting requirements
- Pre-proposal requirements
Submissions are required to be submitted by September 14th.
