The Arkansas Water Resources Center (“AWRC”) announced in a September 13th notice it is inviting:
. . . pre-proposals for research projects that address critical water needs in Arkansas.
The funding opportunity is stated to be provided as part of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) 104(b) Grant Program.
Eligibility for the grants is available for any faculty member or affiliate at a college or university in Arkansas. Further, AWRC states that students with a faculty advisor are also eligible to apply for a smaller student grant that supplements current research efforts.
Note that federal employees are not eligible as a principal investigator. However, they can collaborate with faculty as a co-investigator.
While funding is contingent upon USGS funds being provided, AWRC anticipates funding as follows:
- Researchers up to $35,000
- Student researchers up to $10,000
Submission deadline is November 2, 2022 by 5:00 P.M.
