The 21st Annual Arkansas Soil & Water Education Conference & Expo (“Conference”) will be held in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at Arkansas State University on January 30th.
The Conference will address issues and trends in soil and water conservation.
The Steering Committee Chair, Joseph Massey is quoted in an Arkansas Water Resources article as stating:
. . . we have a great line-up of speakers and vendors scheduled. . . The morning session will feature discussions of drainage and other issues of the Cache River followed by expert advice on how to successfully navigate state and federal conservation funding opportunities . . .Later, updates on the H2O Initiative, the economics of different soybean maturity groups, and a new cover crop demonstration opportunity for producers will be given. In the afternoon, winners of the University of Arkansas’ inaugural ‘more crop per drop’ contest will be announced followed by a one-hour discussion among producers and consultants with different experiences and perspectives on row rice production.
The article also states that more than 20 local and national vendors and agencies are scheduled to have display booths at the Conference.

6.5 hours of Certified Crop Advisers soil and water continuing education units will be offered.
