Representative Holcomb introduced House Bill (“HB”) 1513 which amends certain provisions of the Arkansas Asbestos Abatement Grant program (“program”).
The focus of the bill are revisions to the program’s eligibility requirements.
The eligibility revisions include:
- Eligible structures
- Eligible cities or counties (i.e., population requirements)
- Providing the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality the authority to provide procedures for distribution of program grant funds
- Limitation on use of program grant funds
The bill has been referred to the Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee.
