Representative Davis has introduced House Bill (“HB”) 1550 which revises certain provisions of the Arkansas Code dealing with nonmunicipal domestic sewage treatment works.
The objectives of the bill include:
- Increase contributions to the nonmunicipal domestic sewage treatment works trust fund by nonmunicipal domestic sewage treatment works
- Require documentation concerning future operations from nonmunicipal domestic sewage treatment works
- Prohibit new water connections to noncompliant nonmunicipal domestic wastewater treatment systems
The principal Arkansas Code sections amended by the bill include:
- Ark. Code § 8-4-203
- Ark. Code § 19-5-1142(c)
HB 1550 has been referred to the House Public Health Welfare and Labor Committee.
