The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (“MDNR”) and Connectors Castings, Inc. (“CCI”) entered into a June 13th Administrative Order on Consent (“Order”) addressing alleged violation of the Missouri Air Regulations. See No. APCP02-23-051.
The Order provides that CCI owns and operates a connectors and clamps manufacturing facility (“Facility”) in St. Louis.
The Facility is stated to have operated under an Intermediate Operating Permit which expired on January 4, 2023. CCI is stated to have been required to submit a complete renewal application at least six months prior to the permit expiration. Therefore, CCI was required to submit a complete renewal application by July 4, 2022.
MDNR is stated to have not received a complete renewal application until March 27, 2023.
The Order provides therefore that CCI is in violation of 10 CSR 10-6-6.065 (“Operating Permits”).
The Order assesses a civil penalty of $3,750. Further, CCI is required to continue to operate under Intermediate Operating Permit No. 0P2017-101 subject to all permit conditions and requirements until a new operating permit is issued.
