The American Public Power Association (“APPA”) issued a June 21st news release naming both the officers and Board of Directors (“Board”) members for the organization.
Bret Carroll is stated to have been re-elected to a three-year term on APPA’s Board.
Bret serves as Chief Executive Officer of Conway Corporation. Conway Corporation operates the city-owned utility systems that provides electric, water, wastewater, video, internet, voice and security systems for the Conway, Arkansas, community.
The APPA describes itself as the voice of not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that power 2,000 towns and cities nationwide. It cites representation of public power utilities before the federal government to protect the interests of more than 49 million people that public power utilities serve. They are stated to advocate and advise on electric policy, technology, trends, training, and operations.
