Ann Hines received the Petroleum Marketers Association of America (“PMAA”) Distinguished Service Award (“DSA”) at a PMAA meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
Ms. Hines had served as Executive Vice President of the Arkansas Oil Marketers Association (“AOMA”) from 1987 until retiring a few years ago.
The AOMA publication Update noted that the PMAA DSA is the Association’s highest honor. Further, Ms. Hines is the first woman recipient of the DSA.
Twenty AOMA members attended the PMAA ceremony in Chicago, Illinois at which Ms. Hines received the award.
The Chairman of the PMAA 2017 DSA Committee stated in part in regards to Ms. Hine’s receipt of the award:
Commitment and dedication are staples that Ann Hines brought to our industry, not only in her 38 years of service at AOMA but with her guidance and leadership helped PMAA become the voice of the small marketer in her state along with the rest of the country. Ann epitomizes what makes our industry so great, it’s all about the people. . .
