As noted in a post yesterday (see previous post here), House Bill (“H.B.) 1007 would add a subsection to a section of Subchapter 2 (Water Pollution) of the Arkansas Water and Air Pollution Control Act to address certain Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality permitting procedures associated with liquid animal waste management systems.
A companion bill filed by the same sponsors (Representative Wardlaw and Senator G. Stubblefield) has been introduced into the Senate (Senate Bill 8).
By way of update, H.B. 1007 was passed out of the House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee yesterday morning and subsequently moved out of the House with a favorable floor vote. It is also my understanding that Senate Bill 8 was voted out of Committee this morning.
A copy of the identical companion bill, Senate Bill 8, can be downloaded here.
