The Arkansas Agriculture, Forests and Water (“Conference”) will be held July 16-18, 2024, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Conference is formally denominated the “Arkansas Water Conference”.
The Conference will be held at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences at the Division of Agriculture in the University of Arkansas.
The Conference session themes are described as including:
- Water myths and disinformation.
- Science behind the water stories.
- State, program, and watershed updates.
- Source water protection.
- Know the flow and educational opportunities.
- Conservation efforts, floodplains and forests.
- Groundwater (USGS special session).
- Stakeholder perceptions of groundwater risks and their value.
The organizing committee includes:
- AR Dept. of Agriculture, Forestry, and Natural Resources Divisions.
- The AR Drinking Water and Forests Collaborative.
- Beaver Watershed Alliance.
- Illinois River Watershed Partnership.
- Arkansas Water Resources Center.
