The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) published the Spring 2018 edition of its quarterly newsletter (“Newsletter”).
The Newsletter identifies and summarizes a variety of issues and developments related to the Office of Air Quality’s activities.
The topics addressed in the Spring edition of the Newsletter include:
- 2018 State of the Air Highlights (discussing Arkansas air quality trends, OAQ Permits, Compliance, Enforcement and Asbestos, and Policy and Planning Branches activities [including a link to the full report])
- Ozone Season (providing information regarding ozone and ADEQ activities providing relevant information)
- Ozone and Fine Particulate Forecasting (describing ADEQ’s forecasting efforts)
- Online Permitting Through ePortal (discussing air permit submission through ADEQ’s ePortal system)
- National Air Inspector/Enforcement Officer Workshop (Discussing EPA Region 6 Inspector/Enforcement Officer Workshop attendance by 11 members of the Office of Air Quality Compliance Branch, presentations by three ADEQ staff members at the conference)
- Asbestos Lean Event Highlights (reviewing a lean April program addressing the current processes for certifying individuals and licensing firms in regards to asbestos activities)
- Enforcement Mini Lean Event Highlights (reviewing an April lean event for all ADEQ media enforcement branches, including discussion of consent Administrative Order efficiency)
