The Arkansas Department of Transportation (“ADOT”) announced what it describes as:
…an interactive webmap as a tool to view the current EV charging service gaps in Arkansas (“Map”).
The Map is intended to be a tool to those interested in proposing a project for the current Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for Arkansas’ Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Program.
National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (“NEVI”) Formula Program funding will be utilized to fund EV charging infrastructure programs located on designated EV Alternative Fuel Corridors.
ADOT states that:
...Although all designated EV AFCs are eligible, NEVI Formula Program funding will initially focus on the current service gaps on the AFCs.
ADOT describes its Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Program as a competitive procurement program charged with distributing NEVI Formula Program funds. Funds are stated to be dispersed on a reimbursement basis.
