The American Public Power Association (“APPA”) announced in a June 9th news release the addition of Bret Carroll to the APPA Board of Directors.
Mr. Carroll serves as Chief Executive Officer of Conway Corporation which is based in Arkansas.
The APPA states that of the United States’ 2,000 public power utilities almost 1,400 are members of the organization. The 2,000 public power utilities are stated to provide electricity to 49 million people. Further, they are stated to serve 49 states and various United States territories.
Conway Corporation operates the city-owned utility system providing electric, water, wastewater, video, internet, voice and security services for Conway, Arkansas. It was established in 1930.
Mr. Carroll has been Chief Executive Officer of Conway Corporation since 2017. Prior to that position he served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
