Summit Utilities, Inc. (“Summit”) issued an October 3rd news release announcing that Mike Jackson has been named the company’s Deputy General Counsel.
Mr. Jackson previously served as Senior Counsel and subsequently Compliance Officer for Murphy Oil Corporation (“Murphy”).
Previous experience at Murphy is described as providing:
. . . a wide range of legal support for the company’s operations, including serving on transaction teams domestically, as well as in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Malaysia.
Additional corporate experience includes:
- ALLTEL Communications Legal Department
- Mountain Valley Spring Company, General Counsel
Mr. Jackson received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech and J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
Summit owns natural gas distribution and transmission subsidiaries that operate in Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Summit entities serve approximately 625,000 customers and operate more than 23,400 miles of pipeline.
