The Arkansas Environmental Federation (“AEF”) will hold its 52nd Annual Convention and Trade Show (“Convention”) on October 17th and 18th.
The Convention will be held at the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Besides a student program and golf tournament, the Convention will include multiple breakout sessions under the topics of:
- Air
- Water
- Regulated Waste
- Safety and Health
The educational sessions will provide regulatory updates, discussion of basic permitting, and review of various advanced topics along with case studies.
My law firm colleague, Jordan Wimpy, will be giving a presentation entitled:

I will be undertaking a presentation under the topic of “Regulated Waste” titled:
Recycling: Impacts on State, Change in Recycling in General
Special presentations will be undertaken by Ken McQueen, the United States Environmental Protection Agency Administrator for Region 6 and Andy Davis, State Representative who will address:
Transformation of State Government, A Legislative Perspective
The keynote speaker will be Jason Curry whose topic will be “Finish Empty, Leading Through Change.”
Arkansas Department of Environment and Energy Secretary Becky Keogh is also expected to undertake a presentation.
