Ms. Tracy R. Rothermel has been named the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 18th Judicial District East.
Tracy is currently a Senior Attorney with the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment – Division of Environmental Quality (“DEQ”).
The 18th Judicial District East is responsible for prosecuting criminal cases in Garland County. The Office prosecutes felony cases, juvenile cases, and misdemeanor offenses.
Michelle C. Lawrence serves as the elected Prosecuting Attorney for this district.
Tracy has served at DEQ since 2014. She began as an Attorney Specialist and was promoted to General Counsel at the agency in 2016. Her primary focus has been in Office of Air Quality matters, but has also addressed issues involving the Office of Land and Office of Water.
Prior legal positions have included:
- Deputy Prosecuting Attorney – 13th Judicial District (Calhoun, Cleveland, Columbia, Dallas, Ouachita, and Union Counties).
- Criminal Defense Practice – Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Tracy graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion from Hendrix College and obtained her Law Degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law.
