Director Becky Keogh announced that Caleb Osborne will be leaving the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) to undertake a leadership position at the Department of Arkansas Heritage.
Mr. Osborne is currently the Associate Director, Office of Water Quality.
Mr. Osborne joined ADEQ in the fall of 2015 as a graduate of the University of Arkansas and also has a Juris Doctorate from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a Masters of Public Administration from the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
ADEQ Director Becky Keogh indicated that a nationwide search for a candidate for this Associate Director position will be initiated. In the interim, Dr. Bob Blanz will be assuming the responsibility of Associate Director of Water Quality. Dr. Blanz is currently serving as Chief Technical Director.
Dr. Blanz has served as Chief Technical Director since 2016. Prior to his current position at ADEQ he had previously served the agency as Deputy Director. Further, he previously served as Director of the Kentucky Division of Water Quality and in the private sector for 19 years with both CH2M Hill and Harbor Environmental.
