Mr. Bruce Holland submitted a letter of resignation to Governor Hutchinson on August 5th resigning from his position as Executive Director of the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (“ANRC”).
Mr. Holland had served in this position since July 31, 2016. Previous service included Executive Director of the Arkansas Livestock & Poultry Commission from January 2015 to July 2016. Further, he served for four years as a state Senator representing seven counties in Western Arkansas.
The ANRC is a division of the Arkansas Department of Agriculture. It establishes policy and makes funding and regulatory decision relative to:
- Soil Conservation
- Nutrient Management
- Water Rights
- Dam Safety
- Water Resources Planning and Development
ANRC is composed of nine members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the state Senate.
