The Beaver Watershed Alliance (“BWA”) announced it is seeking a new Outreach Coordinator (“Coordinator”).
BWA is located in Springdale, Arkansas and describes its activities as protecting, enhancing and sustaining the water quality of Beaver Lake and the integrity of its watershed through outreach, education, voluntary best management practice implementation, and scientific investigation.
The Coordinator position opening has apparently been spurred by the acceptance by its Program Manager, Bryant Baker, of a new position in California. Mr. Baker is stated to have accepted a position as Conservation Director for Los Padres Forest Watch, a non-profit organization that focuses on protecting forested land in the Los Padres Range near Santa Barbara, California.
BWA’s current Outreach Coordinator will move into Mr. Baker’s position. The Program Coordinator is stated to involve landowner outreach and program development to support best management practice establishment in Beaver Lake Watershed.
The Coordinator position for which applicants are being sought is stated to include:
. . .working with a wide range of partners to conduct a broad scope of outreach and education programming ranging from environmental stewardship events to one on one property visits with landowners. The Outreach Coordinator position includes work that helps achieve the organization’s purpose and objectives by assisting with office, data, and volunteer management, stakeholder outreach, education programming, technical assistance, newsletter development and distribution, and grant writing.
Resumes must be submitted by October 31st and sent to John@beaverwatershedalliance.org.
