Ms. Deanna Ray has recently been named Chief Legal Officer for the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority (“LRWRA”).
Deanna previously served as Senior Assistant District Counsel and Team Lead for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Little Rock District.
LRWRA is responsible for the collection, treatment, and disposal of reclaimed water. Reclaimed water is carried through more than 14 thousand miles of pipeline and 32 thousand manholes. The system serves a population of approximately 200 thousand people. Discharged water is required to meet applicable federal and Arkansas water quality standards.
The position of Chief Legal Officer for LRWRA provides counsel to management, employees and the Little Rock Water Reclamation Commission on legal and compliance matters which include:
- Environmental Regulations and Permits
- Easements
- Procurements
- Contracts
- Employment Law
- Construction Law
- Arkansas Freedom of Information Act
Additional prior positions include:
- Attorney Specialist for the Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (including service as Interim Director)
- Associate General Counsel Arkansas Natural Resources Commission
- Wilson and Associates Law Firm
Deanna’s degrees include:
- Bachelor of Arts and Environmental Studies and History – Baylor University
- Juris Doctor – University of Arkansas Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law
