Ms. Demetria Kimbrough, MPH, has been named Associate Director of the Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment – Division of Environmental Quality’s (“DEQ”) Office of Air Quality.
Ms. Kimbrough replaces David Witherow, P.E., who joined the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation and Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. as Process Improvement Manager.
Ms. Kimbrough has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in DEQ’s Office of Air Quality for 20 years. The positions include:
- Environmental Operations Manager
- Asbestos and Enforcement Branch Manager
- Asbestos and Enforcement Supervisor
- Compliance Supervisor
- Enforcement Coordinator
- Enforcement Administrator
- Compliance Inspector
Licenses and certifications include:
- National Certified Public Manager Consortium, Certified Public Manager
- National Certified Public Manager Consortium, Arkansas Governmental Manager
Ms. Kimbrough holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Chemistry from Philander Smith University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health.
