William (“Will”) Montgomery has been named Interim Associate Director of the Office of Air Quality of the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment Division of Environmental Quality (“DEQ”).
Will is currently the Policy & Planning Branch Manager for the Office of Air Quality.
Will is replacing current Mitch Rouse who has been appointed Chief Legal Counsel for the Arkansas Department of Transformation and Shared Services. Mitch had recently replaced Stuart Spencer in that position. Stuart left to join the Mitchell Williams Law Firm earlier in the Fall.
Prior positions for Will at DEQ included Policy Advisor in the Office of Air Quality and Attorney in the Legal Division. He also served as a law clerk for two law firms in private practice and an Extern for Judge D. Price Marshall of the United States District Court. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts at Rhodes College.
