The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture announced an opening for an Urban Stormwater County Agent.
The county agent will be located in its Jefferson County, Arkansas office.
The announced position is described as working with the cities of Pine Bluff and White Hall, along with Jefferson County and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, to “education residents and employees about preventing stormwater pollution.”
The job duties are stated to include:
- Maintains an up-to-date and working knowledge of state Extension water quality programs.
- Works with county advisory committee members and Urban Stormwater Steering Committee members in identifying and developing programs that meet the needs of county clientele.
- Develops and implements annual stormwater education plan of work based on issues identified by the Urban Stormwater Steering Committee.
- Provides educational information to leaders in organized groups that facilitate and assist in carrying out the county Extension stormwater education program.
- Conducts educational programs and demonstrations in stormwater education.
- Responsible for answering subject matter clientele calls and for site visits to provide advisement as needed.
- Utilizes sound evaluation techniques to measure impacts of the county stormwater education program.
- Reviews evaluation data from delivered programs and makes adjustments as needed to enhance future programs.
- Provides leadership in preparing and presenting relevant educational material for planning and updating the county stormwater education plan of work.
