The Arkansas Forestry Association (“AFA”) announced the Arkansas Forests & Drinking Water Collaborative 3rd Annual Forum (“Forum”) will be held on November 4th through the 5th.
The Forum will be held at the Lodge at Mount Magazine in Paris, Arkansas.
AFA states the objective of the Forum is to have:
. . . open discussion on how we can help protect sources of public drinking water supplies and support the forest sector.
Special emphasis is stated to be targeted on:
- the opportunities provided by the 2018 Farm Bill Source Water Protection provisions
- the 2019 update of Arkansas’ Forest Action Plan.
The discussion will include the roles, responsibilities, needs, and limitations of the various stakeholders.
