Public-private partnerships (P3s) continue to grow in the United States, positively impacting the architecture, engineering, construction, development, finance, and public infrastructure industries and sectors of the economy. Arkansas is keeping pace - and as a construction lawyer, project finance and P3 attorney in Arkansas, the Natural State’s P3 progress is very encouraging to me.
Last year, Arkansas enacted P3 enabling legislation for social infrastructure and general infrastructure projects (A.C.A. § 22-10-101). You can download the Act here. State Rep. Warwick Sabin was the P3 champion for this Act, and he will be discussing Arkansas P3s at an annual P3 conference in New York – the US P3 Infrastructure Forum 2018. Here is a link to the conference.
