The Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (“ANRC”) has announced it will hold a special meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, October 20th.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m.
The only agenda item is listed as “Legal – Act 605 Rules.”
Act 605 presumably references Senate Bill 386 sponsored by Senator A. Clark and Representative Love which amended the law concerning retail water providers and related services.
A Legislative Task Force had previously been created to consider a number of issues related to water providers such as areas served, importance of water supplies to economic developments, etc.
The Arkansas Water Provider Legislative Task Force subsequently published a report titled:
Summary Report: Vision for the Future, Challenges, Recommendations 2017-2018 Task Force Meetings (“Report”)
