The Beaver Water District (“BWD”) announced in its Spring 2020 publication The Source the appointment of Ms. Amber Ebbrecht to its staff.
Ms. Ebbrecht was named BWD’s Assistant Education Director.
The publication states that Ms. Ebbrecht will:
. . . assist the BWD Education Coordinator and the Director of Public Affairs with all education and public outreach activities, events, and tasks.
Such tasks are stated to include:
- Leading Water Education Center hands-on education and tours
- Providing classroom presentation
- Engaging in public outreach
- Supporting strategies to continue the growth and use of BWD Water Education curriculum in schools, at the BWD Water Education Center, and with partner organizations
Ms. Ebbrecht has a B.F.A. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and holds a standard license in pre-K12 from the Arkansas Department of Education. Her previous professional experience is stated to include:
- Director of Education and Outreach at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks
- Volunteer Coordinator at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area
- Educator in Fayetteville Public Schools
BWD states that it supplies water to 358,000 customers which includes the cities of Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville.
